NATCOL promotes the use of Natural Colors and Coloring Foods worldwide by providing sound scientific evidence to preserve customers and consumers’ choice.

How we work

NATCOL is an international Association administered through an Executive Committee.

The Association works through Working Groups and Task Forces.

Position Papers

A NATCOL position papers are focused entirely on food colors or food coloring only to document a problem and what we believe to be a solution.

Everything Color

“Coloring Foods” are food ingredients used by the food industry for the primary purpose of imparting color to food and beverage products. They are manufactured from fruits, vegetables, flowers, spices, algae and/or other edible source materials.

Membership

NATCOL membership is open to any manufacturer, seller or distributor of Natural Colors and/or Coloring Foods and any producer of raw materials for the manufacturing of these products.

Natural Food Colors

Color influences consumer food preferences. The color of food is considered as the single most important product-intrinsic sensory cue when it comes to setting people’s expectations regarding the likely taste and flavor of food and drink.
